1000 Ways To Die Wiki

"Backseat Die-er", Way to Die #105, is the sixth death featured in "Wild Wild Death", which aired on November 21, 2011.

Plot[]

It was Omar's first day as a paramedic... in West Plains... he had been fired for incompetence in three other cities around Missouri, but somehow managed to get hired in a fourth.

Omar sat in an ambulance with his attractive new partner, Lauren, to whom he told that he had been doing that since he was a kid and saving the kids of the neighborhood, Lauren had a hunch that her new partner was a loser.

Omar asked her if she understood what he was saying and Lauren suggested that he go back and take the inventory, Omar agreed to do it and said that he was a professional. The space to pass was narrow, but he did it. I'll tell you the reason why Omar was fired guys, he always got high with the company supplies. Omar saw a tank of Nitrous Oxide, he got high and started fantasizing about Lauren; he fantasized that Lauren was flirting with him and asked him if he wanted to kiss. That time, however, Omar got so high that he started playing with the defibrillator. Lauren asked him what he was doing and went to see. Then, Omar applied the lollipops, which Lauren told him not to do, and he shocked his heart, stopping it and killing himself, sending himself to the afterlife while he fantasizes about Lauren laying on top of him sexually and in real life she gives him CPR without result.

Narrator: Omar was an incompetent doofus. Thank god before he could do harm to a patient, he pulled his own plug.

Trivia[]

  • Also called "Paddle Me" on the Spike TV website.
  • The narrator says that defibrillators resume stopping hearts. In reality, the opposite is true.
  • Omar is played by famous YouTuber Steve Zaragoza.
  • This death shares its number with French Fried.
    • Interestingly, the victims of both deaths are related by electricity.
  • This is likely based off the death of a 23 year old EMT, Courtney Hilton Rhoton, in June 2005. She had fallen into a coma after the paddles were applied to her beating heart and died a few days later. However, unlike Omar, she was killed in an idiotic prank.
