"Curl Up And Die", Way to Die #786, is the first death to be featured in "Grave Errors", which aired on March 2, 2011.
Plot[]
During 1972 Barry led a good life, he was a swinging hairstylist and his clientele was loyal.
Barry had many return customers because he slept with the women who loved him to do their hair. They would drink Vodka, take Quaaludes, a muscle relaxant that was legal until the early 1980s, and sleep with him.
Devin Zephyr: Ludes were called "legs spreaders" because girls who used to sit like this, and then girls who used to sit this, you give 'em a Lude and they sat like that. And not only did enhance a man's, you know, sexuality, but the key thing was... it extended a woman's orgasm as well...! I mean, it was win-win situation for everybody.
At the end of the day, Barry was seeing Client #3, he wanted to sleep with her and take Lude one more time, but due to the combination of too many Ludes and excessive alcohol Barry was in a state of anesthesia and having trouble standing, Client #3 decided leave even though Barry told her to stay, Client #3 went home and she suggested Barry take a nap and Barry said her goodbye.
Devin Zephyr: The one thing that you do not wanna do with Ludes is to drink alcohol in excess, 'cause if you do, there's a very very good chance you may never wake up.
Barry fainted and fell to the floor causing his burning hot curling iron to stay under his neck, the hot curling iron burned his neck until air was unable to reach his lungs, causing him to suffocate and die, sending our hairdresser to Heaven.
The next day, Client #3 came back to give him another shot, she found him lying on the floor and discovered that instead of overdosing, he passed out with his neck on the hot curling iron, horrifying her.
Dr. Boyd Flinders: Our hairdresser who was er... loaded up on Quaaludes, drive that... affects your central nervous system, was in a state of anesthesia, he passed out, fell on a hot curling iron, fried his neck, to the point there was so much destruction of the tissue, that air cannot get into his lungs, and he suffocated, he died.
Narrator: Barry would curl his ladies' hair and bend their toes. But in the end, his booze and lose love potion left him too hot... under the collar.
