"Erecto-phobia", Way to Die #672, is the fifth death featured in "Stupid is as Stupid Dies", which aired on September 21, 2010.
Plot[]
Peter was about to have the best day of his life. Too bad it would end with the end of his life. Lately, he had been cheating on his long-time girlfriend, Brianna with two other girls: Lukasha and Desiree. While having sex with the latter, he suddenly fell down on the floor, dead from a heart attack.
To understand how he died, let's go back to a few hours ago. While he was unpacking Brianna's groceries, he got bitten by a Brazilian Wandering Spider while getting some bananas out of her bag. The spider's venom causes his blood vessels to enlarge, resulting in a permanent erection. To Peter, he just supposed that he was having a good hard-on going on.
By the time he finally realized something was wrong, it was much too late, and he went into hemodynamic and cardiovascular collapse, resulting in his fatal heart attack and sending the cheater to Lust, the second circle of Hell.
"Little Peter was doing fine, but big Pete was not. Finally, after a couple of more thrusts, the stud went thud."
Needless to say, Lukasha and Desiree have a lot of explaining to do for Brianna at Peter's funeral.
Trivia[]
- In 2003, a young boy was bitten by a wandering spider (also called the "banana spider"). He died an hour after being bitten from an allergy to the toxin, probably the reason why he died quicker than Peter.
- This death is similar to the real-life death of a Russian man named Sergey Tuganov in 2009. While the deaths are similar in that both Peter and Sergey died as a result of a fatal heart during intercourse, Sergey's death was the result of him overdosing on Viagra in order to win a bet that he could have sex with two women at the same time for 12 hours.
- The Actor for Peter, Alain Mesa, later played Alejandro Vargas in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022)
- Peter's death is similar to that of Mark Vogel's death in Love Bugged.
- The number on Peter's apartment door is 69, a reference to the sexual position.
- In addition, the date is June 9 (6/9) (69). This also happens in Lesboned.
- The actor who played Peter also played Punk #2 In Cop Out
- The victim's name and the way he dies could be a reference to Spider-Man, who got bitten by a radioactive spider, but instead of dying, he got superpowers.
- Additionally, one of the segment's nicknames is a reference to Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man.
- In the quote from the Latin American Spanish dub, the narrator spoke in rhymes: Peter era un travieso, se acostó con 3 mujeres seguidas porque se quedó tieso. Vino una araña, y mientras Peter se luciá... llegó también la guadaña. (English: Peter was a rascal; he slept with three women in a row because he was stiff. A spider came along, and while Peter was showing off... the scythe came too.)
