"Hydro-Co-Done", Way To Die #157, is the fifth death to be featured in "Dead to Rights", which aired on February 17, 2010.

Plot[]

A couple named Joshua and Sophia decide to pop a couple of painkillers and drink champagne in a hot tub. They were too intoxicated to notice their tub's thermostat was broken. It kept slowly gaining temperature and the couple eventually died of their third-degree burns.

Transcript[]

(Introcard with Industrial Dead playing; the couple dies in the bathtub, Dali's Dream Death is playing)

Narrator: We come upon the strange and grizzly scene: A young couple in the prime of their life, lying dead in their hot tub. It'll later determined they were boiled alive.

(The tub temperature is 212°F. Before they died... Death by Riff Rock 1 is playing)

Joshua: Champagne...

Sophia: Oh...

Narrator: These two loved the good life.

Joshua: And lobster.

Sophia: Oh...!

(Sophia has also a surprise, painkillers)

Narrator: They also enjoyed the high life.

(Joshua takes the painkillers)

Narrator: They would swallow a mouthful of painkillers,

(So does Sophia; later, Joshua increases the tub temperature from 100, [] is playing)

Narrator: climb into the hot tub,

Sophia: (Giggles)

(Joshua opens the champagne)

Joshua: (Laughs)

Narrator: pop a bottle of bubbly,

Joshua & Sophia: (Laugh of joy)

Narrator: and drift away,

(Joshua & Sophia kiss)

Narrator: numb, dumb, and full of cum-fort. They were playing with fire. The rising water temperature was magnifying the effect of the booze and drugs.

Joshua: Do you feel it, baby?

Sophia: (Laughs)

(Precussive Crime Science is playing)

Dr. Kim Henderson: The enzymes that metabolize drugs in your body are mean to function at the certain temperature and that's body temperature. Core body temperature increases enzymes, they remove...

(CGI green smoke enters in the blood vessels)

Dr. Kim Henderson: drugs and alcohol from your body don't function as well. And so you end up getting a higher... level of drug in your body.

(Jacuzzi Death is playing)

Sophia: Is this too hot in here?

Narrator: Things still might turned out okay,

(The tub temperature increases rapidly)

Narrator: except for a broken thermostat. At 110 degrees is as hot as hot tub should ever get. But would nothing to keep it in check, the temperature kept climbing. All they had to do was get out, but they were too damn wasted.

Joshua: I feel good...

(Later, the tub temperature hits 150)

Narrator: By the time the water hit 150 degrees,

(CGI human skin begins to burn)

Narrator: they were already suffering from first-degree burns. When the temperature reached 175, tissue damaging second-degree burns set in.

(The couple goes into shock)

Narrator: Soon after, they went into shock.

Dr. Joel Teplinsky: Shock means that your body doesn't have enough blood pressure, because the fluid levels low, the heart doesn't work, goes to the shock.

(Recap of couple takes painkillers, Dali's Dream Death is resuming)

Narrator: Drugs,

(Joshua opens the champagne)

Joshua & Sophia: (Laugh of joy)

Narrator: alcohol

(The tub temperature rises to 170 and above)

Narrator: and a broken switch created a proving deadly storm.

Joshua: (Echoes) Do you feel it, baby?
