"Tanked Girl", Way to Die #710, is the sixth death to be featured in "Cure for the Common Death, Part I", which aired on March 22, 2009.
Plot[]
Sandy (Irena Murphy) was a female scuba diver who cheated death after her oxygen tank failed and she was forced to make an emergency swim to the surface. She currently rests in a decompression chamber in order for nitrogen bubbles in her body to dissolve into her bloodstream. Sandy must wait hours before she can exit. But Sandy doesn't mind; she prefers boredom over death. Unfortunately, a maintenance worker at the scuba center accidentally opens the hatch to the chamber. In a nanosecond, the pressure is released into the chamber causing the nitrogen in Sandy's body to mix with oxygen and expand. Sandy explodes, literally, and is sent straight to heaven.

Transcript[]
( is playing, Sandy is in a decompression chamber in boredom)
Narrator: This shapely red head, looks like she's ready for her next tanning session. But looks can be deceiving. Sandy is a deep sea diver. A few hours ago, she narrowly escaped death after her air tanks fail at the death of 350 feet. She had to make an emergency swim to the surface. As any diver knows, this could bring on a fatal attack of the bends.
Mike Segda: When we go down to the water, we're absorbing more nitrogen into our bodies. The air that we breath in... here at... just on the atmosphere's about 20% oxygen, about 80% of nitrogen.
(Background changes from underwater view to bubbles fall in the liquid with the red background)
Mike Segda: So be like shaking up a soda bottle, trying to open it up very quickly if you come up to the surface very fast.
Narrator: Now she's in the decompression chamber, waving it out while the deadly nitrogen bubbles slowly dissolve back into her blood stream.
(Magician Suspense is playing)
Mike Segda: If you down to say a 100 feet, and you come up nice and slow, the gas can be slowly... expelled from the... the blood... to the lungs and you can exhale it out.
(Sandy walks around of boredom)
Narrator: It's going to be hours before she can exit the chamber. But she's lucky to be alive and she knows it. She'll take boredom over death... anyday.
(The woman with a scythe mask-fades to the next cut, which is a sign that she's about to die for good...)
Narrator: Unfortunately, the Grim Reaper had other plans for this sexy scuba goddess.
(A maintenance worker opens the hatch to the chamber)
Narrator: A maintenance worker at the scuba center accidentally opens the hatch to the decompression chamber.
(Sandy hears the hatch turning, she's in grave danger!)
Sandy: (Screams for help)
Narrator: In a nanosecond, Sandy goes from sexy...
Sandy: (Screams for help)
(The ATMS gauge goes 7 to 0, Sandy explodes, literally)
Narrator: to splattered, all over the chamber.
(CGI shows bubbles enter the blood vessel in the body)
Mike Segda: If er... you go from 7 atmospheres when atmosphere in the blink of an eye, it's- it's pretty much ideal. It's- It's over.
(Bubbles cause the body to explode, dismembered)

Trivia[]
- This is based on the death of Milton Krest in the 1989 James Bond film, Licence to Kill. It also shares some similarity with a publicized Byford-Dolphin incident that took place in 1983 which caused the death of 4 scuba divers after the pressure in their chamber went from 9 atmospheres to 1 in less than a second.
- In Saudi Arabia, a American-Arabic man named Dennis Guatosik exploded of too much oxygen in his body.
- Strangely enough, nothing is mentioned about the maintenance worker after he accidentally kills Sandy, although he is likely fired and imprisoned for involuntary manslaughter.
- Sandy wearing a dark red bathing suit. This death is similar to the recent event of the 2023 Titan submersible incident, where 5 people on board were killed after the submersible have gone missing during its descent to the RMS Titanic wreck on June 18th, 2023. It is believed as of June 22nd, 2023, a few debris from the Titan was found nearly 1600 ft from where the Titanic's Bow is, and a "Catastrohic Implosion" might have happened on the submersible when it was descending for around 12500 feet below (close to 4000 metres).
