"Gum's The Word", Way to Die #261, is the fourth death to be featured in "Death On A Stick", which aired on August 3, 2010.
Plot[]
Raul was a predatory nurse who tricked elderly women into giving him their money and making out with him. When he finds out that his current target has bad breath, he heads to the bathroom for mints, but ends up swallowing denture-whitening tablets by mistake. He then takes a drink of water, which turns out to be dissolved denture cleaner. The two denture products destroy his insides, and he dies in ten minutes due to a lack of oxygen in his blood and sending the predatory nurse to hell.
Transcript[]
Narrator: Raul was a fake, who lied to get what he wanted. In the end, you can say he died of...truth decay.
Trivia[]
- When Raul dropped the glass, it made the sound of a lightbulb shattering, not an actual water glass breaking.
- The date and location used for this death is exactly the same as DWI: Dying While Intoxicated.
- This death was Runner-Up B in the "Sexiest Death" category in the Death By Request: Special episode.
- This death is very similar to Chili Today... Dead Tomorrow, as both deaths involve the victim drinking something that poisons them in an attempt to wash out something they put in their mouth.
- In 2012, a woman was chewing gum when she accidentally fell down the stairs. The fall wasn't fatal, but the shock caused her to inhale the gum which blocked her airway. Unfortunately, she lost her life, and the scariest part is that young children are often the ones who end up in these situations.
Goofs[]
- Crew or Equipment Visable: While Raul is spinning around in the bathroom suffering the side effects of the denture products, the cameraman is reflected in the mirror.
