"Homie-cide", Way to Die #448, is the fifth death to be featured in "If You're Dead – Leave a Message and We'll Get Back to You", which aired on January 5, 2011.
Plot[]
Enrique is a wannabe movie actor who joins a Hispanic gang to get into character for an upcoming low-budget gangster film. He survives getting beat up to see if he can take it. After surviving his final initiation and being accepted, he is struck by a cadaver thrown off an overpass by a rival gang, causing a skull fracture and fatal brain hemorrhaging.
Transcript[]
Narrator: Enrique was wishing they used a stunt double for this scene. But he toughed it out. Even if he didn't get the part in the movie, he'd always have the locos to fall back on. But then a plot twist nobody saw coming.
Narrator: Aspiring actor Enrique wanted a part so bad, he immersed himself in gang life, but it was just pretend until that big O.G. in the sky yelled Cut!
(A cadaver thrown off an overpass by a rival gang, lands on Enrique, both of 'em die)
Narrator: That's a wrap, homie!
(The rival gang members on the bridge run away)

Trivia[]
- Also called "Drive By Corpsing" on the Spike TV website.
- This is based on an actual death. Vera, a Prague woman, was going to commit suicide in 1978 as her husband cheated. She jumped off their apartment and onto her husband who was walking by. This true story has a happy ending as Vera survived and the cheating husband died. Snopes included this story in one of it stories.
- This is the first death to be filmed at the LA River viaducts in Los Angeles, the second is "Bowled Over". Despite has no interviewees in Bowled Over. Only have two interviewees in Homie-Cide.
Goofs[]
When the dead body falls on Enrique, it bounces off of him. However, when the camera cuts to Enrique's dead body, the other body is shown laying flat on top of him.
