Lawyer Jeremiah Prescott wants to convince the judge that his client, Nelson Robbinson, is not responsible for murdering a person. His theory is that the victim shot himself while pulling a gun out. To prove it, he uses an empty pistol to demonstrate how it could've happened. The gun turned out to be not that empty after one last bullet was fired after pulling the gun out of his pocket. This one bullet did enough damage to kill the Lawyer. The Judge eventually saw Nelson to be not guilty and lets him free.
