"Lost In Transfusion", Way to Die #458, is the fourth death featured in "Dead Before They Know It", which aired on March 23, 2011.
Plot[]
In order to beat a company drug test, a cocaine-addicted crane operator named Ramon injects himself with blood that matches his type, stolen by his girlfriend who works as a hospital cook. However, he does not listen because he was high when she warns him to warm the blood before injecting it. He stores the blood in the refrigerator overnight before injecting it in the bathroom moments before his drug test. Once the cold blood enters his body, Ramon is killed instantly from fibrillation and tachycardia, sending him to hell.

Narrator: Look up at any city skyline and you can be sure of one thing:
(Ramon gets in the crane)
Narrator: Somebody manning a crane helped build it. Ramon had the skills to pay the bills, but... he was a crane operator with a big secret.
(Ramon secretly snorts coke, [] is playing)
Narrator: Peruvian marching powder got him through his long and hard workdays.
([] is playing)
Narrator: Everything was going fine until his foreman dropped a bomb.
Foreman: Ramon!
Ramon: What?
Foreman: You got a drug test tomorrow.
(Villain Death is playing)
-Narrator: This was no simple urine test.
-Ramon: (Sniffs)
Narrator: Crane operators have to undergo a full blood analysis.
([] is playing, Ramon snorts coke at home)
Narrator: But Ramon had an ace of his sleeve.
Ramon's GF: Ramon!
Ramon: What?
Narrator: His girlfriend was a cook at a hospital.
Ramon's GF: ...here, I got... blood, I've got the pulse...
Narrator: She was able to sneak out a bag of blood. The same blood type as his.
([] is playing, Ramon hides the bag of blood in the fridge)
Narrator: His plan: Bring the blood to work and right before the test, run the clean blood into his body.
(Foreman takes lunch)
Ramon: Oh, hey.
(Foreman gets up and warns Ramon about drug test)
Foreman: Don't forget the drug test this afternoon.
Narrator: Oh, yeah. I'm ready to donate all day.
(Wah Wah Death is playing, Ramon gets in the bathroom, starts to put the blood on his vein in order to cheat the drug test)
Ellsworth Grant: In this situation, this individual...believed...that he could...cheat the blood test by diluting out the cocaine sample, which is foolish. It's not- It's not possible.
([] is playing)
Narrator: As plans go, this one had more holes in it than a junkie's arm.
Ramon: (Whispers) Suckers...
Narrator: For example,
(Flashback of Ramon's GF warns about the blood bag)
Narrator: his girlfriend warned him...
Ramon's GF: It can't be cold.
-Ramon: (Sniffs) I get it.
-Ramon's GF: Risk of dying, okay?
(Ramon listened the warning but still...)
Narrator: But Ramon was too high to listen.
(Back to Ramon dilutes blood, Orchestra Leading to Death is playing)
Narrator: He fed the cold blood into his vein,
(Ramon's heart beats louder, as Ramon seizes up grabbing his chest, then starts beating abnormally for a moment before stopping as he slumps over dead on the toilet)
Narrator: and as soon as it hit his heart... he was lights out.
(Reverse Crime Investigation is playing, CGI cold blood enters in the blood vessel, freezing the heart)
Ellsworth Grant: If blood kept at 38 degrees (°F) is transfused into the body, this could have a serious side effect, especially on the heart. It can affect the natural pacemaker of the heart, leading the heart to have irregular heartbeats.
(Replay of Ramon feeling the cold in the heart)
Ellsworth Grant: Which could then lead to ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia, which are deadly.
(Ramon lights out; Recap, [] is playing)
Narrator: Even crane operators need a lift. Ramon just used the wrong substance,
(Ramon snorts coke)
Narrator: had the wrong plan to beat the test.
Ramon: (Whispers) Suckers...
Narrator: The only thing he got right... dying.

- The description for this death on the Spike TV website says that Ramon died due to the blood being warmed up (when in reality, Ramon died because he failed to warm up the blood).
- Cold Blooded looks identical to the Snow Pea and Winter Melon.
