"Mine Over Splatter", Way To Die #337, is the third death to be featured in "Death On A Stick", which aired on August 3, 2010.
Plot[]
Three former Viet Cong soldiers and Vietnam War veterans with PTSD are arguing about what is the best aphrodisiac and decide to settle the score once and for all by playing Russian roulette.
Idiot Alert!!!
Even unloaded guns can kill you!!!
The three all dodge the bullet in the gun they use for the game, and feel so invincible that they stomp the ground in triumph.
Little did they know that their hut was built on an unexploded landmine of the 35,000 landmines planted and forgotten during the Vietnam War. The stomping triggers it, causing it to detonate. The explosion destroyed their shack and blasted them into pieces, which rained onto the ground, ending their lives with an unexpected blast.
Transcript[]
Narrator: From 1955 to 1975, war was a way of life for Vietnam.
(Cut to a house in the middle of a field with three men inside.)
Narrator: When the shooting stopped, many who fought were still pumped from having cheated death.
(The three soldiers hype themselves up and take a shot of liquor in unison)
Narrator: Like these Ex-Vietcong soldiers. Ten years later, they spent their time getting wasted, arguing about what's the best aphrodisiac....
Narrator: And playing Russian Roulette
Narrator: These 'Once Upon a Time' warriors were feeling invincible. But sometimes your number comes up in unexpected ways. For these three, that number was 35,000.
(Suddenly, the house explodes, one of the former soldiers' head shows in front the camera. But why it exploded?)
Narrator: 35,000 is the number of unexploded land mines still planted throughout the Vietnam countryside. Unbeknownst to them, a war leftover was lying directly below their drinking hut. It took their foot-stomping celebration to finally set it off.
(A flashback clip of the battlefield was shown and a villager was placing a mine on the same spot of the hut without letting the three soldiers knowing the mine was planted.)
Narrator: For some soldiers, the war is never over. For these guys, they should have quit while they were ahead, and an arm and a leg... you get the picture.

Trivia[]
- This is the first and only death that takes place in Vietnam and takes place a decade after the end of Vietnam War.
- This death was most likely based off an incident in Cambodia on, March 22nd, 1999. Three friends recently spent an evening drinking and exchanging insults at a local bar in the southeastern province of Svay Rieng. Their arguing continued for hours, until one of the intoxicated men pulled out a 25-year-old, unexploded, anti-tank mine found in his backyard. He tossed it under the table, and the three men began playing a variation of Russian roulette, each man exchanging turns, first taking a drink and then stamping on the mine. The other villagers fled in terror. Minutes later, the mine detonated, destroying the bar and killing the three men instantly.
- This death was #2 in WatchMojo's "Top 10 1000 Ways to Die Deaths."
- This death takes place 16 years before Tipping Point
- This death also takes place Ofloxacin Listed in the same year.
