"Rocky Roadkill", Way to Die #245, is the fifth death to be featured on "Better Them Than Us" which aired on March 16, 2011.

Plot[]

Hey guys, can you imagine finding an ice cream truck that wasn't an ice cream truck, you would find it if it was being managed by this guy: Salvador, you could ask him to give you chocolate bars but he would just close the window.

Sal was a drug dealer who found that disguise, instead of delicious frozen treats for children he sold disgusting marijuana, pills and powders for drug addicted adults.

Big Duval: The most innovative way I've seen, I've heard of, selling drugs... basically is, hide and go seek. You pay me on the corner, and you go on the other corner and you pick it up under a rock.

Sal had regular clients, businessmen looking for coke for lunch, hardcore addicts and nervous meth addicts, but one day while Sal was selling drugs to a client the client pulled out a gun and told him to give him everything, Sal ran to the driver's seat, started the engine and drove away, leaving the customer behind.

Sal managed to make a clean escape, until he took a curve too fast, the ice cream tank fell and released a cloud of refrigerant, Chlorofluorocarbon is an odorless gas found in air conditioners and refrigerators, exposure in poorly ventilated spaces can cause dizziness, lack of coordination and loss of consciousness, Sal was knocked unconscious by CFC vapors while driving and crashed into a tree at 50 miles per hour, causing blunt trauma that caused his aortic valve to rupture.

Dr. Michael Kurtz: A ruptured aortic valve is caused by blunt trauma. The aortic valve supplies the heart and the body with blood. With disruption of this artery, what can happen is you have a lack of blood supply and it leads to death, immediately.

Killing him and sending him to Hell where he would never traffic drugs again.

Narrator: Salvador was a drug dealing Mr. Freeze. But when one of the customers turned on him... his business went bust. And he got creamed.

Transcript[]

Narrator: When is an ice cream truck not an ice cream truck? When its run by this dude; Salvador.

Jogger: Two chocolate bars.

Narrator: Sal was a sleazebag drug dealer who came upon this brilliant disguise. Instead of frozen treats for kids; he sold weed, pills, and powders for strung-out adults.

Big Duval: The most innovative way I've seen, I've heard of, selling drugs... basically is, hide and go seek. You pay me on the corner, and you go on the other corner and you pick it up under a rock.

Narrator: Sal had his regulars: Businessmen looking for some lunch time coke.

Salvador: Regular?

Businessman: Yeah, give me the usual.

Narrator: Hardcore junkies

(The shirtless junkie hands Salvador some cash before a jumpy meth head comes into view, banging on his truck)

Narrator: And jumpy meth heads.

Meth Guy: You got brown bunny today?

Salvador: Do you have cash?

Meth Guy: Yeah man!

Narrator: One rule of doing business: The customer's always right.

Meth Guy: I changed my mind.

Salvador: What?!

Meth Guy: Give me everything!

(Meth Guy pulls out a Beretta from the back of his jeans as Salvador starts up the truck)

Narrator: Except when he's trying to kill you.

Meth Guy: EVERYTHING!!

(Salvador floors the gas as he manages to get away from the jumpy Meth head)

Narrator: Sal made a clean getaway. Until he took a corner, a little too fast.

(The tires squeal as the ice box tips over in the truck)

Narrator: The ice chest toppled over, releasing a cloud of refrigerant. Chlorofluorocarbon is an odorless gas commonly found in air-conditioners and refrigerators. Exposure in poorly ventilated spaces can cause dizziness, lack of coordination, and eventually loss of consciousness. Knocked out cold by the CFC vapors, Sal slammed into a tree at 50 miles an hour.

(The truck slams into the tree, showing branches stuck in the grille as Salvador is lying across the dashboard dead. It then cuts to a CGI recreation of the skeleton getting dizzy, slamming into the tree, then lunging forward as the impact of hitting the steering wheel breaks his ribcage and ruptures his aortic valve)

Dr. Michael Kurtz: A ruptured aortic valve is caused by blunt trauma. The aortic valve supplies the heart and the body with blood. With disruption of this artery, what can happen is you have a lack of blood supply and it leads to death, immediately.
