"Signed Out", Way to Die #522, is the first death featured in "It's a Dead, Dead, Dead World", which aired on July 15, 2012.
Plot[]
Joe was a lazy man who thought he would have a good marriage until his wife, Serena, came along and revealed to him with the divorce papers, Serena begged Joseph to sign, but he refused, so Serena threatened him with a police report for abuse, but Joe beat her to it and hit himself multiple times to make it look like she was mistreating him.
The neighbors worriedly called the emergency services. When the paramedics arrived, they put Joe on a stretcher and he accused Serena with the police while she told the police that she didn't touch him.
Unfortunately for Joe, the wheels of the stretcher he was placed on started moving, and before the paramedics could reach up to him to put him into the back of an ambulance, he started rolling down the hill and screamed in fear while the stretcher gained speed until it hit some rocks, causing Joe to be launched into the air until he hit a sign that went through his stomach and lacerated his aorta, causing him to bleed to death and killing him within seconds.

Trivia[]
- This death is similar to Cleane-Dead Solution, only the victim in that death was abusive, charged at his wife, and got stabbed in the heart, not the stomach, and they landed on a sharp part of a dishwasher, not a sign. However, both victims did not want a divorce.
- The death name is noticeably similar to Sign Offed, and both deaths involve victims that are killed by a sign. However, while in the latter, it features the death of an anti-heroic sign spinner that has good intentions of impressing a lady with his skills with one questionable moment of saying "This guy's trash! He doesn't know how to spin" when describing another sign spinner that is also willing to impress the same lady, which clearly disqualifies him from being considered "Pure Good", this however features the death of a lazy, inconsiderate and rude husband who faces a divorce notice and hits himself just to blame it on his wife who wants to have him sign the divorce papers.
- Joe's death is similar to that of Evil Flippy's death in Happy Tree Friends web series episode, "By the Seat of Your Pants".
Goofs[]
- Continuity: When Joe lands on the road sign, no blood gushes out of his stomach immediately; the next shot shows the blood already on the sign, but not gushing.
- Revealing Mistake: The shot of Joe flying up and landing onto the sign is clearly played backwards.
- Errors in geography: Despite this death taking place in Columbus, Ohio, the ambulance has a West Virginia license plate on it.
- If one notices carefully, the death card is in full caps, this also happens in the next segment in the episode, HUMMUS AMONG US and the whole episode in general except for Tread Marked.
Transcript[]
Narrator: While the police try to sort things out...
(cuts back to Joe while the paramedics prepare everything to put him into the back of the ambulance, when suddenly, the gurney Joe is on starts moving)
Joe: Hey, guy... Hey! Hey!!
Narrator: Joe goes for a little ride.
(the paramedics try to reach to Joe, but the gurney moves quickly in such a way it is too far for them to reach onto it)
Joe: Hey!! Hey! Hey! (the gurney rolls down the hill and gains some speed) Hey!!! HEY!!!
(the gurney continues moving down the hill with increasing speed as Joe screams in fear, until the gurney suddenly stops after hitting some rocks, causing Joe, who is still screaming, to be launched into the air until he lands on top of a curve ahead sign where he is impaled through the stomach, lacerating his aorta and killing him within seconds)
