"Shoots & Ladders", Way to Die #79, is the fourth death to be featured in "Eat, Pray, Die", which aired on August 8, 2011.

Plot

Ralph wanted to watch the reruns of The A-Team (1983-1987) on television. He had his book of rules. A dog was constantly barking and it kept him from watching his show. After failing to tell his neighbor to silence her dog, he fetches a slingshot and takes the dog down.

"The book of Ralph states: after committing a crime, hide all evidence. But check it out Ralph, here on 1000 Ways to Die, we got our own rules! One of them says: if any asswipe messes with one of God's creatures, be prepared for a cosmic slap... upside the head!"

Suddenly, as if Lady Karma saw the incident herself, a screw fell off the ladder, causing it to fold up. Ralph losses his footing and he falls headfirst onto the floor, causing fatal brain damage in the process, and sending him on a one-way trip to hell, where he belongs.

Goofs/Trivia

  • Unless you’re old or have osteoporosis, A fall from an eight-foot ladder won't kill you, you'll just suffer a minor concussion.
  • The last line in the doggerel quote was a derivation of Mr. T's catch phrase "I Pity the Fool" from the 1982 film Rocky III.
