J.D. Bridges was working on the carrier of the USS Roosevelt and proved every jet for security before taking of. On the Night of February 20, 1991 things changed when J.D. Bridges stepped too close to the jet engine and literally got sucked into the engine. He exited the engine through the other side, took a few steps before falling unconsious. He woke up in a hospital and to the surprise of everyone, he wasn't heavily injured. He broke his clavicle, has a laceration over his right eye and some steel caps are still stuck in his bones.
