A Drag Boat Crash occurred at the Firebird Raceway, Arizona on February 24, 1985. It is the seventh escaped death in 1000 Ways to Die.

How it unfolded[]
Being a veteran in drag boat racing, Sunny Moon did another race reaching speeds up to 263 MPH, but when he pulled the brakes nothing happened and it turned out to be jammed. Since nothing seemed to be working on the boat, he decided to jump out, risking serious injury. The boat went airborne and hit a power line, turning the boat into a fireball. Fortunately, he survived the landing in the water, which means he would have died if he'd stayed in the boat.
