WARNING: The stories portrayed in this show are based (for the most part) on real deaths and are extremely graphic; names have been changed to protect the identities of the deceased.
"Do not attempt to try ANY of the actions depicted… YOU WILL DIE!"
"Death is everywhere… most of us try to avoid it, others can't get out of its way. Everyday we fight a new war against germs, toxins, injury, illness, and catastrophe. There's a lot of ways to end up dead, the fact that we survive it all is a miracle; because everyday we live, we face… 1000 Ways to Die."
Booked for Death[]
Tommy is a 20-something years old Youtuber who's well known around the internet for his dangerous and foolish stunts. Tommy's girlfriend, Sara, is hesitant but eventually agrees to participate in his latest dangerous act. This time, Tommy convinces Sara to shoot closely to a book that he will hold in front of him close to his chest, believing the thick book will stop the bullet while the scene it's filmed on camera. The reason why he thought of this stunt in the first place was because he has seen in videos (go figure what kind of videos), where the bullet is stopped by a very solid surface; Tommy believed that a book thick enough would be just right to stop a bullet as well and it will be a hit to his channel.
However, when Sara pulls the trigger, the bullet goes through the book and into Tommy's chest which hits his heart, killing him instantly. The bullet went through the book despite its thickness because the force of the bullet is much stronger than the binding of the book. The bullet's velocity and kinetic energy are enough to overcome the resistance of the book's pages and covers, allowing it to pass through and hit the target behind it. When reported his death to the police, Sara is arrested for years in prison and charged with accidental homicide.

Tar-nish-dead Reputation[]
In the early Middle Ages, the city of Venice in Italy was not only known for its trade and culture, but also for the gruesome punishment of the guilty. One of the more common, yet gruesome, punishments inflicted upon criminals and malefactors was the 'pitch torture' (also known as pitchcapping). This torture involved the victims being stripped naked, coated from head to foot in hot tar, thrown into the center of town for public spectacle, then paraded through the streets, followed by citizens throwing things at them. Such punishment was typically reserved for those who did not comply with the laws or dared to defy the authority, and served as a lesson to the citizens of Venice.
Today's victim? Porfirio Rocchi, a paranoid and abusive man who was caught after having stabbed two people to death. Those people were his wife, Donatella Rocchi, and a male baker. The reason? Porfirio thought his wife was cheating on him with the baker. While the immediate effect of the pitch torture were not fatal, the prolonged exposure to heat and tar could eventually lead to heat exhaustion, dehydration, or even infection. The combination of the elements, such as the heat of the sun, prolonged exposure to tar and the physical activity (parading through town) were harsh on the victims and often led to illness and even death.
Porfirio was hit by various objects such as chairs, bottles and other things by the people seeing him, causing him to have broken bones and internal bleeding. With all that said, the man died like the rest of the victims of this particular torture. "Che tu possa vivere male all'inferno, Porfirio."
